OPSEU/SEFPO members across the Ontario Public Service, Broader Public Service and Colleges came together for a cross-sector rally in Thunder Bay to highlight the shared challenges facing multiple sectors due to chronic underfunding. Workers gathered outside the office of Conservative MPP Kevin Holland to send a clear message that workers stand united for fair bargaining, better wages, job security, workers’ rights, mental health, and strong public services.
While our campaigns may different, our fights are not.

OPSEU/SEFPO President JP Hornick spoke at the rally:
“Out of our 200,000 members across this province right now, 150,000 of us are in bargaining. 150,000 workers right now in OPSEU/SEFPO alone are in bargaining. And we are bargaining for the same damn thing – respect, wages that allow us to do more than survive and funding in public services that allows us to service our communities.”
We know that together we are stronger. United, we win!
