Join Region 3 Provincial Human Rights Committee Representative Kris Weatherall for an evening exploring why land acknowledgements are important, where to start and how to create, start, continue your own journey.
- Date: Wednesday, December 10, 2025 – International Human Rights Day
- Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
- Location: Zoom (link provided upon registration)
As a settler on the land I belong too, I personally am on a journey to recognize the original peoples of Turtle Island and as part of my Land Acknowledgement journey I am sharing stories of what I have learned in hopes of encouraging others to start, or expand their own journeys.
Join this International Human Rights Day for a meaningful evening of reflection, learning, story telling and connection. Together, we’ll explore our personal and collective journeys in Land Acknowledgements — what they mean, how they evolve, and how to create acknowledgements that are personal, authentic, respectful, and rooted in relationship to the land and its original stewards.
Members will be able ask questions as part of the journey, as a essential part of advancing human rights and reconciliation within our union and our communities.
All Region 3 member’ welcome!
Let’s come together to learn, reflect, and honour the spirit of International Human Rights Day.
