OPSEU’s Training and Development Unit has been informed by Mohawk College that their Labour Studies Certificate Program has been cancelled effective immediately.
OPSEU members who are close to completion of the Labour Studies Certificate have until December 31, 2015 to complete all of their OPSEU and Mohawk College course work and field placement for the Certificate.
The field placement and accreditation procedures have changed due to the wrapping up of the program. All members who have been working towards a Mohawk College Labour Studies Certificate using OPSEU courses are encouraged to click here to read about the new procedure as soon as possible in order to find out how to complete their OPSEU and Mohawk College coursework by December 31, 2015.
The Labour Studies in Occupational Health and Safety Certificate program has been cancelled as well. No further accreditation will be accepted by Mohawk College for this program.
