OPSEU/SEFPO President JP Hornick to Join Full-Time College Support Workers at Humber College on Day One of  Strike 

TORONTO, ON –  More than 10,000 OPSEU/SEFPO full-time college support workers are officially on strike today, Thursday September 11, as of 12:01am. Picket lines at all 24 public colleges in Ontario are going up as workers fight to protect the future of student supports, and the future of high-quality education in Ontario communities.

Despite OPSEU/SEFPO remaining ready to bargain,  the employer walked away from the table – making no effort to continue talks for the six hours leading up to the strike deadline.

OPSEU/SEFPO President, JP Hornick, alongside the full-time college support bargaining team and other college workers, will be holding a media availability on day one of the strike and comment on ongoing developments regarding the Ford government’s Skills Development Fund and the chaos in the college system.
