Four dozen members newly trained to facilitate educational events across the province

This fall, OPSEU/SEFPO has added another 46 members to the roster of trained member facilitators for regional educational events!

Regional Train the Trainer events were held in Sault Ste. Marie and Hamilton for members from Regions 2, 6 and 7. Two other Train the Trainer events were held at OPSEU/SEFPO Head Office for new Equity Committee and Caucus members and alternates, as well as Membership Development Trainees (MDTs) and Staff Development Trainees (SDTs).

OPSEU/SEFPO’s Train the Trainer course, facilitated by OPSEU/SEFPO Education Officers, introduces participants to the theory and practice of activist education used at OPSEU/SEFPO. Its focus is effective facilitation and co-facilitation, with an emphasis on the delivery of our union’s regional educational courses.

We look forward to seeing our newest member facilitators at upcoming regional educational weekends across the province!
