More than 60 Local Presidents and First Vice-Presidents participated in OPSEU/SEFPO’s Summer Local Leadership Orientations, including a huge double cohort training followed by an online training. These events marked the first time that First Vice-Presidents were invited to participate, following a motion brought forward at the 2025 Convention.
The orientations covered OPSEU/SEFPO’s organizational structure, best practices, and strategies to organize and engage members. Participants enjoyed presentations from staff across the organization, including Health and Safety, Political Action, Communications, Local Services, Negotiations, Membership Services and more.
During a lunch hour, the leaders quickly organized themselves to support Corrections during their time of bargaining. Magic happens when a group of activists comes together in one space!
