This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for – to fight back against an employer who has been set on disrespecting part-time workers and refusing to negotiate bare minimum improvements to our working conditions.
We need you now.
The Part-Time Support Staff strike vote will be held via online/telephone poll from October 14 at 12:00pm to October 17 at 3:00pm.
For the last two years, we have been fighting tooth and nail for paid sick days, a livable wage, job descriptions, and bare minimum demands like career advancement and EDI language.
We need a strong “yes” vote that demonstrates our collective power, and gives us leverage at the table. It’s time for the employer to realize we’re not backing down, and we have our membership behind us.
Our future contract depends on what we’re each willing to put in.
Will you vote YES to the strike vote in October?
This is not an official vote, but lets the bargaining team know how much power we have.
If we hit the picket lines, you’ll need to have your payment information on file. Sign your membership card here.

Most importantly, we need you to talk to your coworkers. Reach out to your student workers, your coworker who covers everyone’s shifts, your friends from another department. We provide the training and the scripts. Sign up one day a week.
If phone banking isn’t your thing, reach out to support in other ways.
