AGO workers receive a boost from over 250 supporters at rally

President Smokey Thomas and 1st Vice-President/Treasurer Patty Rout, gave OPSEU’s full support to Local 535 at a festive rally outside the AGO on May 19. The marchers were inspired by drumming and music and support from leaders of the Ontario Federation of Labour, the Labour Council of Toronto and York Region as well as Local 535. AGO OPSEU members will be in a strike position at midnight on May 20. Speakers at the rally included OPSEU leaders as well as Marie Kelly, Vice-President of the Ontario Federation of Labour, John Cartwright, President of the Labour Council of Toronto and York Region and Nancy Pridham, regional Vice-president of OPSEU Region 5.
