The Employer has agreed to extend the no board deadline for an additional 12 days. This means the new strike date is July 8th at midnight, if the collective agreement is not ratified. These locals represent highway maintenance workers. These members keep the roads safe during winter with plowing, sanding and related activity. Many members are laid off during the summer when the highways require less maintenance.
Voting times/locations are:
Local 221: July 7 at noon at the Port Dover Bridge parking lot.
Local 317: July 2, 1-8 pm at the Microtel Inn and Suites in Parry Sound
July 3, 1-8 pm at the Holiday Inn Express in Huntsville
Local 704: July 6, noon-2 pm and 4-6 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion in Geraldton
