The OPSEU CAAT-Support Division is pleased to once again offer the “OPSEU CAAT-Support Staff Marilou Martin Scholarship.” This is an annual scholarship given to a full-time student in one of the 24 Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology.
This year, the Division will offer five (5) scholarships worth $1,200 each.
Scholarship theme
This year’s scholarship theme is “Strategies to address psychological harassment (bullying) in the workplace.” The awards will go to submissions that best address the theme, specifically:
Both of the following two questions must clearly be addressed in your submission
- What have unions done to progress working people’s rights to stop bullying or psychological harassment in the workplace?
- What strategies do you recommend for stopping bullying/psychological harassment in the workplace and/or school setting?
Who can apply
The scholarship is open to all full-time students at any of the 24 recognized public Ontario colleges. All applicants must be residents of Ontario and registered in one of the following Ontario Colleges: Fanshawe, Lambton, St. Clair, Niagara, Conestoga, Mohawk, Sheridan, Durham, Fleming, Georgian, Algonquin, St. Lawrence, Loyalist, La Cité, George Brown, Seneca, Centennial, Humber, Boréal, Cambrian, Sault, Canadore, Northern, Confederation.
How to apply
Applications can be submitted in any of the following forms:
- Poem
- Song
- 500-word written essay
- Video (2 minutes in length)
- Visual art
