This Labour Day, we celebrate workers fighting back.
The Ford government’s attacks on colleges, hospitals, social services, and all public institutions are growing. The rich continue to get richer, while the majority of Ontarians face an affordability crisis; a housing crisis; stagnant wages and rampant privatization that destroys our public services.
Our strength as workers lies in our unity; in our determination to fight for a better future.
Labour Day is about celebrating what we’ve won and uniting to achieve a future where all workers, families, and communities can thrive.
We’re fighting for an Ontario where people can afford to pay their rent, their housing, their groceries. An Ontario where racialized and equity seeking communities, women, children, the elderly – our most vulnerable populations – are safe and supported.
When the labour movement is united, we win.
The time to act is now.
This Labour Day, OPSEU/SEFPO Region 5 will be at the Toronto Labour Day parade! Come out and show your union solidarity.

- Vehicles will be on site to provide rides for members with mobility needs.
