OPSEU/SEFPO’s Coalition of Racialized Workers (CoRW) invites you to submit your application to attend the Election Summit. It will take place from Friday, February 20, to Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.
This Election Summit will bring together Black and Racialized OPSEU/SEFPO members to mobilize, engage in political education, and elect regional representatives to the Provincial CoRW Committee. Grounded in the theme “Representation of Racialization,” and using an anti-racist and intersectional lens, participants will examine how racialization shapes representation, leadership, and decision-making within the union. The Summit will create space to explore strategies that strengthen meaningful representation and advance OPSEU/SEFPO’s work to dismantle anti-Black racism and systemic racism through sustainable and collective change.
This event can accommodate approximately 160 members, who will be selected by the CoRW Committee and is open to Black and/or racialized OPSEU/SEFPO members only. The selection process will endeavour to invite a diverse group of attendees, representative of the many groups within our membership and their distribution among our regions. We aim for a diverse mix of backgrounds and perspectives among the participants.
Please submit your application no later than end of day on January 22, 2026 by completing the online application form. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
For any additional requirements, please contact the Member Equity Unit directly at equity@opseu.org.
